Sumber Sira

Gondanglegi District in Malang Regency has a natural tourist attraction, namely Sumber Sira. Precisely located in Putukrejo Village. The spring water is so clear, it has successfully invited tourists to come to Sumber Sira. Plus, this tourist location, which is still beautiful and cool, is also suitable for family picnics. So, tourists can enjoy food while looking at rice fields as far as the eye can see.

Chairman of the Sumber Sira Tourism Management, Didin Pahlevi, revealed that the name Sumber Sira was taken from the grave of one of the ancestors of Putukrejo village. “The Sira source is taken from the name of one of the graves of village elders which is believed to be the grave of Mbah Sirojudin,” he said, on Saturday (12/12/2020).

He also said that Sumber Sira was officially opened as a tourist attraction in 2015. “If it was opened for public tourism, it started in 2015 based on suggestions from residents and submitted to the village office. Then it coincided with instructions from the sub-district for the BUMDes program,” he explained.

The construction of facilities here is also being built in stages. “The construction is also gradual, this plengsengan was built before it became a tourist attraction. Then in 2015 it started with the construction of the paving first,” he added.
