LECTURES IN THE  PANDEMIC PERIOD

During this pandemic, many changes have occurred, whether it is the existence of new regulations, policies and everything that commemorates or is aware of the spread of the corona outbreak. Corona outbreak or corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the recently discovered corona virus. Most people who catch COVID-19 will experience mild to moderate symptoms and will recover without special treatment. Therefore, the government makes policies on PSBB, social distance and so on.

Large-scale social restriction (PSBB) is a term of health quarantine in Indonesia which is defined as “The restriction of certain activities of the population in an area suspected of being infected with a disease and / or contamination in such a way as to prevent the possibility of spreading disease or contamination. PSBB is a type of health quarantine implementation. in the region, apart from home quarantine, hospital quarantine, and area quarantine. The PSBB’s objective is to prevent the spread of a public health emergency (KKM) that is currently happening among people in a certain area. restrictions on religious activities, and / or restrictions on activities in public places or facilities. PSBB is carried out by regional governments at the provincial and district / city levels after obtaining the approval of the Minister of Health through a Ministerial Decree. risks to the economy so that the government provides a new policy, namely social distance, social distance is social restrictions, also called physical restrictions or informally keeping distance, is a series of non-pharmaceutical intervention measures intended to prevent the spread of infectious diseases by maintaining physical distance between one person and another. and reduce the number of people who are in close contact with one another. This action is usually done by keeping a certain distance from other people (the distance specified may vary from time to time and from country to country) and avoiding gathering together in large groups.

The PSBB (Large Scale Social Restrictions) and social distance policies were implemented by the public in panic and shock because people had to adapt to these new habits such as working from home, studying or education from home, and panicking to maintain health to avoid this Corona virus outbreak. Of course the economy is getting more chaotic because many people whose work is done directly and cannot be carried out online, especially regarding the education of many students and students who are not used to learning online or online (in a network).

Lectures or learning during this pandemic period is very ineffective because many students are constrained by the network, economy and the effectiveness of lecturers in providing learning because there is no emotional or physical interaction with students so that the knowledge provided is not optimal, in fact there should be courses that are carried out in practice so that it must be postponed first or continue to be carried out with online media but still it will not be effective and efficient. Students do have to learn independently, but still the presence or effectiveness of lecturers must still be considered or fulfilled, in addition to effective learning, network constraints often occur because there are also students who live in remote areas so they experience network difficulties or are constrained by signals, besides network problems Even worse, the campus should pay attention to the economic problem, it is clear since the outbreak of the Corona virus or this pandemic the economy of the entire community is very worried, such as UKT payments and quotas, the campus should provide relief to all students such as UKT payments, all students should be given a discount without exceptions and conditions because it has been proven that the entire community or people are experiencing economic difficulties and also campus facilities are not used by students during this pandemic, therefore it should be potonga n without exceptions and requirements, and also students in addition to paying UKT students also pay a quota to take lectures online, even though the quota subsidy has been given by the campus but it is insufficient because the use of online learning media is very draining of quotas such as media, zoom, google meetings and others, therefore the campus should pay more attention to these things.

Solutions to lecturing constraints during this pandemic, such as the effectiveness of online learning, hope that lecturers pay more attention to their students, so that lectures can be more effective, even if online, and provide explanations before giving assignments, assignments are not too difficult or it is burdensome to students, does not demand too much of students, and provides explanations effectively using the right media and is not too burdensome for students, especially their economy. Therefore, it is hoped that lectures in this pandemic period use online media (online) to be effective and the knowledge provided by lecturers can be useful and applied by students, and hope that students can appreciate the efforts made by lecturers. Hopefully this pandemic will end quickly, and the lectures will be conducted offline.
